The City Council has set up a crisis committee to monitor the communal situation during the state of alert, which communicates in remote mode and is made up of the mayor, the communal secretary and the street cleaning, police, general services, communications and civil protection departments.
Mayor Ana Sala today signed a new decree regarding the measures taken by the City Council against the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The document stipulates that municipal public services will continue to be provided, reducing public attention to telephone support both in the social services and in the Citizens' Assistance Centres (OAC) 965833600 and 900204050. However, the Local Police 965839000 and the Domestic Help Service will continue to offer their services in person.
This morning the City Council held an ordinary meeting of the Presidium and focused the agenda on the measures to be taken in relation to COVID-19. In this way, the sports facilities, the culture house and library, the civic centre for the elderly, the Maite Boronat vocational centre, the museums, the Casa Nova University headquarters, the animal welfare service and the tourist offices are closed to the public.
The Supreme Court (TSJ) has ruled that Calp Town Council must pay 116,280 euros for the expropriation of the Ràfol plot of land, as opposed to the 2.3 million euros requested by the owners. The Supreme Court considers that this plot is on rural land, as defended by the City Council, contrary to the criteria of the owners, who maintain that it is urban land.
The local government met this morning to take decisions in relation to COVID-19 and decided to suspend the Fallas event and the I Gastronomic Day of Mantis and White Shrimp planned for Saturday and the Family Day planned for Sunday. These activities will take place at a later date.

The plenary session of the Calp Town Council has approved to start the procedures for the creation of a family meeting point. The proposal was presented by the municipal group of Compromís and was supported by all the groups.
Family meeting points are spaces that facilitate the exchange of minors when there are complicated separation processes or when their mothers are victims of gender violence. The objective is to be able to comply with the visiting regimes avoiding complicated situations since there will be professionals who will facilitate these exchanges.
