The local government met this morning to take decisions in relation to COVID-19 and decided to suspend the Fallas event and the I Gastronomic Day of Mantis and White Shrimp planned for Saturday and the Family Day planned for Sunday. These activities will take place at a later date.
The government team wanted to stress that they have been informed by the health authority that no case of infection with the virus has been detected in Calp and that the population is urged to follow only official sources and not to spread fakes. It is also recommended to follow the advice of the health authorities to avoid contact such as washing hands, not touching the face and coughing in the elbow or disposable tissue.
Another of the measures adopted is the suspension of the activities of the Mare de Déu de les Neus Senior Citizens' Centre, i.e. the workshops, gymnastics classes and Sunday dances will be paralysed from today until 15 days from now, as this is a vulnerable population group. In addition, visits to the Centro Ocupacional Maite Boronat e are only possible to a limited extent, as this is also an endangered population group.
