In August, Calp City Council will make exceptions to the Acoustic Conditions Ordinance, which prohibits all types of urbanization and construction works for residential construction, in order to mitigate the effects of the alarm condition and paralysis of the works on the industry.
At present, the decree prohibits all types of urbanisation, construction or engineering works on urban land for residential purposes between 1 and 31 August.

The city council has installed the Carina chatbot on its website www.calp.es: an intelligent virtual assistant that answers basic questions about the coronavirus outbreak (infection, symptoms, prevention, etc.).
This virtual assistant was developed by the company 1MillionBot, which made it available free of charge to interested public administrations. The Carina Chatbot is able to answer more than 88% of the questions, and every day it increases its ability to answer even the most complex questions.

The City Council today established the protocol for access to assistance to meet basic needs. It is an aid to cover specific basic expenses, i.e. food, hygiene and pharmaceutical needs caused by the exceptional situation of the alarm caused by COVID-19.
A very flexible mechanism will be set up for access to this aid, and the request will be made ex officio or at the request of the applicant. It will be made by telephone 965837223 or by e-mail to servsociales@ajcalp.es and can be requested from next week.
The Calp local police have issued a report on the failure to comply with the restrictions imposed by the decree declaring a state of alert, which includes the reports filed between 15 and 25 March.
The police reported 64 people for offences related to restrictions on the free movement of persons and 3 people for offences related to containment measures in the area of commercial activity, cultural facilities, leisure facilities and activities, hotel and restaurant activity, i.e. for failure to comply with the closure of facilities.

Calp City Council has already prepared a package of measures to deal with the consequences of the coronavirus and the state of alert, and a budget amendment of EUR 1 million is being made to implement these measures.
The Mayor, Ana Sala, has announced that several lines of action will be put in place, firstly, emergency social measures that will be activated immediately and that will make it possible to take care of the most vulnerable people, that is, families at risk of exclusion, whose situation has been made worse by the state of alert.
