Mayor Ana Sala today signed a new decree regarding the measures taken by the City Council against the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
The document stipulates that municipal public services will continue to be provided, reducing public attention to telephone support both in the social services and in the Citizens' Assistance Centres (OAC) 965833600 and 900204050. However, the Local Police 965839000 and the Domestic Help Service will continue to offer their services in person.
In addition, the Mayor's Office has given the instruction to suspend and/or postpone all outstanding payments to the local administration for one month, without prejudice to the adaptation of this decision to circumstances.
Another of the measures adopted is to instruct the company Aguas de Calpe not to interrupt the water supply.
Exceptional compensatory measures for the crediting and payment of municipal taxes will be considered for the businesses in the town, the hotel and catering industry, the shops and all those activities that have been forced to close.
