Aguas de Calpe, the company responsible for water supply and distribution, has approved a series of special measures in response to the alarm situation created by COVID-19, the first of which is to extend the payment deadline for those persons who are unable to pay their bills within the voluntary payment period without any kind of surcharge.

Due to the current state of the alarm and health situation, the Associació de Moros i Cristians "Santíssim Crist de la Suor" and the Calp Town Council have agreed to postpone the celebration of the Mig Any Fester, originally planned for April 24, 25 and 26.
The celebrations will be postponed to a new date to be determined. Once normalcy is restored, new dates for the celebrations can be set.
Calp City Council has launched an initiative to find out how local elderly people are doing and if they are in need of help in any way.
The initiative is coordinated by the "Mare de Déu de les Neus" civic centre, where almost 3,000 older people are currently registered, and will be articulated through a support network. From the centre itself, contacts will be distributed to a group of people so that they can call the elderly people and ask them how they are doing and if they have any needs.
The Board of Directors of Calp City Council approved the introduction of a new psychological support service by telephone and Skype at its meeting on Friday 20 March.
In order to use this service, an appointment must be made in advance and then the intervention will take place in 30 minutes sessions, preferably via Skype, as this allows a more direct contact with users.
The Chinese community in Calp has donated 15,000 protective masks and 9 large batches of hydro-alcoholic gel, disinfectant spray and gloves to be used in the health centre Casa del Mar, local police, Guardia Civil, Civil Protection, Colina Club, La Saleta and Domis VI nursing homes, and City Hall staff who care for the public.
The Calp municipal government held its last personal meeting today. From now on, both the meetings and the plenary sessions will be held by video conference.
