For the fourth year in a row, more than 150 elementary school students from the 5th grade of the CEIP Oltà, Ceip Gabriel Miró and Ceip Azorín schools are taking part in the Olympic Games of Finance to learn more about the ethical use of money, resources and responsible consumption. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Education and Youth of the Calpe City Council.

The Financial Olympics, which are part of the national project "Responsible Consumption for a Better World", are innovative, educational and formative activities specifically designed to enable children to experience and learn the value of saving, the intelligent and ethical use of money and the importance of meaningful and responsible spending, as well as the value of effort as a means of achieving what we need or want.

"Teaching children to maintain a healthy relationship with money is as important as feeding or dressing thyem. With age-appropriate financial education, they have a better chance of becoming responsible and financially independent adults. If children are given the tools they need, they can avoid the pitfalls of consumerism alone," explains Verónica Deambrogio, founder of El Recetario Financiero® (The Recipe Book of Finances®) and responsible for the event

Similarly, all primary schools participating in this activity will become part of the "National Network of Innovative Schools" of El Recetario Financiero®, a network that recognises all Spanish educational centres that are distinguished by their commitment to the dissemination of financial knowledge and innovation, as an essential tool for those who will be the society of the future: children.

El Recetario Financiero® is an educational company whose mission is to help children and young people develop their potential through financial education and entrepreneurial culture. El Recetario Financiero®, together with the municipalities of Benissa, Calpe and Teulada, Creama and various companies in the region, has opened the Marina Alta First School for Young Entrepreneurs at the Centro de Excelencia for young people aged between 14 and 20.
