The Calp police today closed off access to the community via Pou Roig. This is a small access road from the National Road 332 between Benissa and Calp, which leads to various housing estates in the town.
The access to the city has also been closed off by the La Canuta housing estate. It is also a small access from the N-332 road between Altea and Calp.
These measures are in addition to the closure of the northern access road to the municipality a few weeks ago. The aim is to concentrate the entrances and exits of the municipality through the southern access, where the checks and identifications are carried out by the Civil Guard and the local police. In addition, the access to the municipality from Moraira is also controlled by Civil Guard officials, who also carry out checks on the old AP7 toll road in Benissa.
Only yesterday, on 8 April, the local police reported a total of 12 people for failure to comply with the restriction on freedom of movement and made a total of 711 identifications. Local police agents are also monitoring and controlling access to local supermarkets.
