The IES Ifac High School in Calp will open next year also in the afternoon to avoid the crowds of students and thus to comply with the protective measures against COVID-19.
This has been agreed by the Ifac High School Council, which includes representatives of AMPA, students, teachers and the town council. In this way, courses 1. of ESO, 2. of ESO, 3. of ESO, Basic Vocational School, Intermediate Vocational School for Gardening, 3PMAR (Programme for Improvement of Learning and Performance) and PR4 (Programme for Reinforcement) will come to the school in the morning and courses 4. of ESO, 1. and 2. of ESO, Secondary School Basic Vocational School and Intermediate Vocational School for Administration will come to the school in the afternoon.
On the other hand, despite the fact that it was initially assumed that pupils would have to attend classes on alternating days in order to comply with the necessary prevention and removal measures, this measure will ultimately not be necessary, as different rooms will be set up in the school as classrooms. This guarantees the participation of all students in the courses, although the Ministry has only defined participation in the 1st of ESO, 3PMAR, PR4 and vocational school as essential.
Likewise, the City Council for Education and Sports and IES Ifac have already started to contact schools, sports clubs and academies so that the educational offer of activities is also accessible to students who study in the afternoons.
