Today the first decree for the disbursement of €114,000 under the Plan Paréntesis was signed. The City Council is already working on the second one, which will start tomorrow. Grants totalling 1,545,222 euros will be paid out in the first batch of the Plan Paréntesis in Calp to self-employed people and businesses affected by the pandemic.
The grants, which will start to be delivered this week, correspond to batch 1 and include the first 47 applications submitted to the municipality and amount to €114,000. Calp has registered a total of 335 applications under the Plan Paréntesis, which will be progressively managed in batches.
The Plan Paréntesis in Calp provides €1,545,222, 62.5% from the Generalitat, 22.5% from the Diputación (Provincial Government) and 15% from the Municipality, for self-employed people and micro-enterprises in the sectors most affected by the pandemic, such as hospitality, tourism, leisure, sport or culture.
The programme consists of a direct grant of 2,000 euros for each self-employed person or micro-enterprise, and an additional 200 euros per employee who was covered by social security on 31 December. Participation in this aid is compatible with subsidies, aid, income, or resources from national, EU or international administrations or public or private bodies granted for the same purpose provided for in this decree.
While we are waiting to settle this appeal and know the total amount of the surplus, Calp City Council is already investigating how to allocate the surplus for the granting of aid to self-employed persons and micro-enterprises with a maximum of 10 workers who are registered in the census of Calp's employers, professionals, and employees in sectors other than those listed in this appeal and who are also affected by the pandemic.
This year the city has abolished the street occupancy fee, has abolished the opening licence fee and the street reservation fee for taxi stands and hotels.
