The chairman of the Provincial Council, Carlos Mazón, visited Calp this morning to take a closer look at the site of La Pobla d'Ifac, which will be the subject of the 16th excavation campaign launched by the MARQ in August in collaboration with the Calp Town Council and the Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park
Before he went up to La Pobla, Carlos Mazón visited the town hall, where he met the mayor and signed the book of honour. The Mayor emphasized the good harmony and coordination with the Provincial Council and especially mentioned the help provided by the Council during the state of alert.
After his visit to La Pobla de Ifac, the President of the Council declared: "For fifteen years we have been working with great care and attention on the excavations of La Pobla d'Ifac with the aim of making them not only visible but also able to be visited. We are committed to the restoration and transformation of the site into a museum, so that this symbolic enclave becomes a new tourist resource, creating new opportunities for the industry.
