This week work began on the construction of a pump track in the sports area. This is a space for non-competitive, recreational sports practice on a plot adjacent to the skate park, with an approximate surface area of 1,800 m², within the sports complex.
The "pump track" is a closed circuit with banked curves, mounds and jumps in which the skateboarder or cyclist uses his own momentum and the inertia generated to move around.
The projected track has a length of 226 metres and a width of 2.50 metres, finished with black asphalt agglomerate paving, finishing the slopes and interior islands with mass concrete. The circuit will have the necessary plateaus, elevations, undulations, superelevations and slopes appropriate to the dimensions and layout of the circuit.
The works have been awarded to the company Aglomerados del Sureste for a price of 75,504€ and have a completion period of three months. With this new sports facility, the City Council aims to promote new sports and meet the demands for the practice of non-conventional sports.
