Calpe has already prepared its facilities so that people with reduced mobility can also enjoy the sea; so since June 1st the two main beaches of Calpe, the Fossa and Arenal-Bol, have differentiated bathing areas, specially equipped to meet the needs of people with mobility problems, the elderly, and people with reduced vision. These accessible beach areas are located in La Fossa at the level of Llevant Street and in Arenal-Bol beach at the level of Holanda Street.
These areas are equipped with amphibious chairs and crutches, sections of flexible walkway and adapted bathing area and changing rooms, and also have lifeguards who attend to and accompany service users, although you can also opt for the company of a trained family member if you prefer. These accessible points are open from Monday to Sunday, currently from 11am to 7pm, and have reserved car parks in the vicinity.
The timetable of the adapted bathing will depend on the timetable of the lifeguard and rescue service. The daily working hours will be 8 hours in June and September and 10 hours in July and August.
