The Moros i Cristians Santíssim Crist de la Suor Associació will celebrate this weekend the acts of the "Mig Any", the festive equator that will allow to say goodbye to the festive charges of 2022 and to welcome the new captains, standard bearers and ensigns.

 

 Today, Friday, the different "filaes" will have dinner in the "kábilas" and at 23:30 the popular "xaranga" will begin in the Plaza del Mosquit. Saturday will be the most important day of the fiestas. The most awaited event will take place in the Plaza Mayor at 9pm: the change, farewell and presentation of the 2022 and 2023 festive charges.

 

This will be the moment when Pepe Toni Ripoll Sau and Miriam Molina Morató from the Filà Almorávides, and Ivan Plaza Sánchez and Alba Plaza Sánchez from the Filà Templaris will bid farewell as Moorish Captain and Favourite and Christian Captain and First Lady respectively, to give way to the 2023 Captains, José Pineda Fluixá and Marian Femenía Pastor, from the Filà Mascarats and Angel Moya Rodríguez and Cristina Andrés Magrañal. from the Filà Almogávares.

 

 Another important position is that of standard bearer of the Moors and Christians Association, which this year will go to Tania García García of the Filà Tuareg, who will take over from Belén Sellés Perles, of the Marins Corsaris. As for the Christian and Moorish ensigns, Daniel Iranzo from Almogávares and Joel Vázquez from Mascarats will pass the baton to Marcos Fernández from Bulder de Contrabandistas and Andreu Sellés Perles from Moriscos.

 

 Sunday will begin with the traditional paella competition in Conde de Altea street. In the afternoon, the children's parade of corporals and squadrons will take place and the celebration of traditional games will bring the Mig Any Fester to an end.
