This morning, Marina Salud Hospital informed the Mayor of Calp that the municipality, together with Dénia, Pego and Benigembla, will participate in a national statistical study commissioned by the Ministry of Health from the Carlos III Institute of Microbiology. The aim is to find out the impact of the virus in each municipality and its evolution.
The municipalities were selected at random, as were the people who will take part in the study. In the Marina Alta, 89 families are expected to participate in this study, 21 of which will be families from Calp.
The selection of the families that will participate in the project is random and will be made by the Ministry of Health. The tests are voluntary, the process will take 8 weeks and the tests will be carried out by health centre staff.
The results of the tests will be part of a national statistic to know the development and impact of the virus in each area of the country.
