In the plenary session of the first approval of the budget, the Calp municipal government announced its intention to implement an active employment policy through a local employment plan. It was reported in the plenary session that the request for non-duplication of powers had been submitted before the Generalitat.
This procedure was decided this week, giving Calp City Council a free hand to develop the Local Employment Plan, which will eventually be endowed with 1 million euros from the surplus.
At the moment, the municipal technicians are working on the basics that will regulate the employment plan, which will be used to hire temporary workers. The employment plan is intended to be an instrument within the framework of the measures initiated by the municipal government to deal with the economic and social crisis resulting from Covid 19. Therefore, social criteria will prevail in the foundations of the plan.
The Mayor, Ana Sala, said that "we are committed to an employment policy that will allow us to cover situations of vulnerability, offering a career option and promoting economic independence; they are measures to combat unemployment caused by the pandemic situation".
