Calp Town Council is organising free guided tours of its old town until 4 September, a great opportunity to discover part of the town's history as well as some very charming spots: the Forat a la Mar, part of the old wall and gateway to the Moorish quarter, the Torreó de la Peça, the old defence of the town, or the picturesque Plaça dels Mariners, next to the Fishermen's Guild, which pays tribute to Calp's seafaring roots.
The visits, organised by the Department of Revitalisation of the Old Town with the collaboration of the Department of Tourism, will take place every week from Wednesday to Sunday at two different times: at 8:30 pm and at 9:30 pm in various languages. Wednesdays in English and Spanish; Thursdays in Valencian and Spanish; Fridays in French and Spanish; Saturdays in English and Spanish and Sundays in Valencian and Spanish.
Those interested should register in advance at the tourist offices and information points or by calling 96 583 69 20. There will be a maximum of 20 people per group and the estimated duration of the tour will be 45 minutes.
The meeting point will be at the Casa de Cultura 15 minutes before the visit. All those who are going to attend are requested to be punctual.
These guided tours will be carried out following the safety and hygiene measures in front of COVID-19: safety distance of 1.5 meters and mandatory use of a mask.
