In just over a week, the Calp local police have filed a total of 16 complaints against bars and restaurants for failing to maintain a safe distance between tables or groups of tables both on the terraces and inside the premises.
According to the local police, the charges were brought between 15 and 24 August, a period which includes two weekends in the middle of the summer season and when there is a large influx of tourists to Calp.
In addition, during these nine days five complaints were filed for failure to comply with the closure time, which was set at 1 a.m. in accordance with the new measures adopted by the Generalitat on 17 August 2020.
The local police have also reported three locals for non-compliance with capacity limits and one report for performing shows without a licence or permit.
