Yesterday the deadline to apply for a LVT (IBI) for pensioners and pensioners under 65 and long-term unemployed ended. A total of 126 persons applied for this subsidy. The city council has budgeted 100,000 Euros for this subsidy.
This is the first initiative taken by the Calpe City Council. It involves a grant of 400 Euros and up to 75% of LVT (IBI). The subsidy can be increased by a further 10% for disabled people or family members of disabled people, if they have a disability of 33% or more or are victims of gender-related violence or single parents.
Applicants over the age of 65, or who have reached this age in 2018; or pensioners of the Seguridad Social in 2018 under the age of 65 and long-term unemployed during 2018 can enjoy this grant.
In order to qualify for the subsidy, applicants must have paid the property tax of their permanent home (own or rented) for 2018 in Calpe. Applicants must own a single apartment in Calpe, live in the city and be registered here. It is also a condition that the annual gross income of the family or couple in the last financial year together does not exceed twice this year's IPREM (Indicador Público de renta de efectos múltiples).
