Fallen trees and fences are the main consequences of the strong gusts of wind of up to 90 km per hour that Calp has suffered in recent days. In addition, the wind has destroyed the emergency tent of the health centre where the PCR tests are carried out.
The Board of Directors of the Penyal d'Ifac Nature Park, which met this week, informed about the imminent implementation of the pre-registration to visit the park with a maximum capacity of 300 people per day. The city council has already decided to grant aid to local companies to alleviate the effects of the COVID pandemic. After the errors had been corrected, a total of 262 applications were accepted. The total amount of aid granted amounts to 198,800 euros.
The grants range from €1,000 to €600 and are aimed at both the self-employed and small businesses operating in the municipality.
EXFICALP, the philatelic exhibition organised every December by the Calp Philatelic Association, reaches its 25th edition this year, and it does so by commemorating the anniversary of the twinning between the city of El Penyal and the city of El Puerto de Santa María in Cádiz, which is also celebrated for a quarter of a century.
The plenary session of Calp Town Council today agreed, with Defendamos Calpe and Compromís voting against and the PSPV-PSOE abstaining, to allocate 4,178,125 euros of the remaining funds from the 2019 budget for a total of fourteen investments to be implemented during 2021.
This morning the campaign was presented, which will be run by the town of Calp from today until the end of the Christmas season, to encourage purchases in local shops and at the same time "to make COVID not take away our Christmas enthusiasm".
