The Board of Directors of Calp City Council approved the introduction of a new psychological support service by telephone and Skype at its meeting on Friday 20 March.
In order to use this service, an appointment must be made in advance and then the intervention will take place in 30 minutes sessions, preferably via Skype, as this allows a more direct contact with users.
Rebeca Merchán, the councillor in charge of the service, points out that "psychological problems that arise from the new situation and prevent citizens from leaving their homes start from the first week, when we are aware of the situation we are experiencing".
"We want to help all people who are alone, especially the elderly," Merchán added.
The opening hours of this service are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm and the telephone number to call for an appointment is 663 212 521.
