This week, maintenance work will begin on the 45 lampposts on Avenida Gabriel Miró, which require painting of their concrete bases, poles and supports. These lampposts, which are located in the municipality's main shopping street, are the street's landmark.
The 19 street lamps on Paseo de las Quintas and the six benches in this area were also painted, as was the street lamp on Calle Málaga with the Puerto de Santa María.
All the lampposts were cleaned with an electric brush and given an anti-rust primer and anti-graffiti coating. Given the special nature of the work, the Town Hall put this service out to tender a few months ago and the company Sociedad Ibérica de Construcciones Eléctricas was awarded the contract at a price of €26,162
