On Saturday, February 8, the 4th stage of the 71st edition of the Volta Ciclista a la Comunitat Valenciana, which starts tomorrow in Castellón, will begin in Calp.

 

The Calp stage will be the "Queen stage", a short stage of 156 kilometres, with 5 mountain passes, with the spectacular climb to the Bèrnia mountain range, with great differences in altitude, and will decide the winner of this Volta. In this edition of the Volta, 12 teams of the World Tour and 7 professional teams, such as Astana or Movistar, who will stay in Calp, or Ineos and Jumbo, will participate.

 

This race, which ends on Sunday in Valencia, counts on former champions such as Abraham Olano, Alexander Vinokurov, Alex Zülle and Alessandro Petacchi, and in recent editions stars of cycling such as Nairo Quintana (2017), Alejandro Valverde (2018) and Ion Izaguirre (2019) have been highlighted.

 

This edition also counts again with VCV Féminas with a daily stage with the same route as the men's team 9 February.
