Yesterday the BOP (Official Gazette) published the approval of the La Marina de Ifach subplan, known as the Polígono Industrial Pou Roig. The plan allows for the redivision and development of the expected business and leisure park. Once this process is completed, it will be up to the owners to develop it.
The aim of the Industrial and Commercial Park is to provide local businesses with an adequate space for the development of their activities, enabling them to create jobs all year round and to avoid the migration of businesses to the industrial estates of the nearby municipalities. Support will be given to the creation of businesses that support the tourism sector, technology companies and start-ups in the tourism sector.
This step marks the birth of this industrial park after 20 years of legal proceedings and controversy that have paralyzed the development of an industrial park in Calp. The new business park well promote a new economic model and create new jobs. The City Council is committed to making this park a reality in order to help and benefit local SMEs and all leisure initiatives that come to support the economy of Calp.
