Calp City Council has launched an awareness campaign in November to eliminate violence against women.

This campaign is coordinated by the Equality Department and CREAMA, together with the Asociación de Empresarios y Comerciantes (AEMCO) (Association of Entrepreneurs and Business Owners).

The aim of this campaign is to contribute to the awareness of society that we can all contribute to the eradication of this type of violence. It calls for the participation of local businesses in the awareness campaign.

Businesses interested in participating in this campaign sign a document in which they commit themselves to building a more just and egalitarian society without violence.

Among other things, they commit themselves to provide information about available resources or to offer the use of the telephone in emergencies.

The city awards a Identification sticker that can be placed in shops to make visible this commitment to eradicate gender-based violence.

The Mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, wanted to congratulate all the stores that have already participated in this campaign, which shows the commitment of our stores to a fairer society for all.

The stores that have joined in are: Frutas y Verduras Calpe; Forn María; El Racó de les Flors; Calzado Jireth; Mooby; Kafé Glacé; Calzado Blasco; Reynaert; Pau; Herbolario Ópalo; Malagón Motor and Morant Group.

Businesses interested in participating in the campaign can contact the Equality Department of the City of Calp on 965835111 or by e-mail at igualtat@ajcalp.es.
