Calpe will launch a public awareness campaign to collect dog excrement over the next two months, and during this time no fines will be levied. This was announced yesterday by the Mayor of Calpe, Ana Sala, at the plenary session where the amendment to the regulation on the coexistence of citizens in public spaces was finally approved. It provides for a fine of up to 650 euros for owners who do not collect the excrement of their pets on the tracks or who do not clean the urine of their animals with water.

The city of Calpe has presented the 2020 programme for "Family Day". This event was first launched in 2019 and was very well received, so it will be repeated this year.

The "Día de la Familia" program is actually 12 days a year, since one event is planned for each month of the year.

All the events are free of charge and among them we find traditional games, theatre performances, multi-sports, water festivals, escape room... all accompanied by a snack or lunch for the children.

Calpe City Council has set up the Equal Opportunities Committee, which will be responsible for implementing the City Council's first internal Equal Opportunities Plan.
