Today, Wednesday 22 January, a new edition of Fitur, the reference event for the tourism sector, begins in Madrid. This year the Calpe Town Council comes with a clear objective: to consolidate the process of seasonal adjustment by promoting tourism beyond the traditional sun and beach.

Next Saturday, the City´ Culture Counselor will begin a cycle of children's theatre entitled "Anem a l'Auditori", which will offer a theatre performance each month, the theme of which will coincide with a special day of the month. The free performances are intended to promote theatre among children and generate quality cultural content without leaving the municipality.

The storm that hits the municipality at this time leaves a balance of considerable damage to beaches and promenades, especially on Fossa beach, where the waves have destroyed the wall of the promenade and reached the interior of the shops. The Les Basetes area has also been badly affected by the strong waves.

Calpe Town Council has published today in the Contractor's Profile on its municipal website the announcement of the tender for the concession of the regulated parking service on the public highway and the withdrawal of vehicles from the municipality; therefore, the deadline starts tomorrow for companies interested in managing the limited and paid parking area to submit their proposals. The contract also includes the provision of the municipal pound service.
