The mayoress of Calpe, Ana Sala, accompanied by other members of the government team, has welcomed this morning the staff hired within the Local Employment Plan. In this edition there are 68 workers hired through this plan.
The mayoress, Ana Sala, has indicated that "this plan is one more action to try to help the neighbours of Calp" and has highlighted that "we are still committed to employment policies that allow us to cover situations of vulnerability".
The Local Employment Plan is aimed at people aged 16 years or older, registered in Calpe registered in the public employment service with a minimum length of service of 3 to 6 months uninterrupted and who were not receiving unemployment benefits or subsidies.
The provision of these positions has been done by competition and the duration of the contracts is until the end of the year. A total of 68 posts have been offered in the following professional categories: 10 cleaning staff posts, 13 labourer posts, 4 gardening labourer posts, 5 janitorial posts at the Casa de Cultura, 5 janitorial posts at the Sports Centre, 10 environmental security posts, 7 administrative assistants, 3 administrative assistants in tourism, 10 administrative assistants and one administrative assistant at the Library.
The Plan is endowed with 1,147,528.72 euros and will involve the temporary hiring of these staff until 31 December. The Employment Plan is intended to be one more tool within the actions implemented by the Town Hall to address the economic and social crisis resulting from Covid 19. For this reason, social criteria such as being a beneficiary of Social Services aid, being a large family, being a jobseeker, etc., prevail in the Plan's bases.
