The Calentura Bistro Restaurant has won the 1st Calpe White Prawn Tapas Competition organised by the Calp Fishermen's Guild, the Calpe Business Association, and the Town Council to promote the consumption of white prawns among the professional sector and private consumers. Each of them offered a tapa whose main ingredient was the white prawn, the tapa was priced at 2 euros and consumers could vote for the best tapa through an online form.
A total of 188 people took part and were able to rate the tapa with a score from 1 to 10. Among the people who voted for the winning tapa, 5 dinners for two people in the restaurants participating in the competition were raffled off.
The aim of this competition is to promote a typical Calp product such as the white prawn, and it is intended to continue throughout the next editions of Firacalp and to complement other promotional activities. On Friday, the councillor for Commerce, Paco Avargues, handed over the diploma to the managers of the Calentura Bistro Restaurant.
