This month, the Department of Education is launching a series of free educational lectures aimed at parents. The series opens with the talk "Keys to understanding an adolescent" by the renowned medical psychotherapist Antonio Ríos.
Antonio Ríos has been accompanying families on their children's education for several decades. The medical psychotherapist recognizes that "the 20 years that we have to educate our children are the most complicated in life and the last five are the most difficult". As a specialist in family, couple and adolescent counselling and psychotherapy, Ríos stated that "many of the conflicts are generated in families and it is they who have to find the solutions".
The Department of Education wants to bring the testimony of this professional educator to parents so that families have the necessary tools for the development of their children. The doctor will offer his views on the keys, mistakes and limits in the education of adolescents. The conference will take place on 23 March in the Auditorium at 19:30.
The series will continue on 20 April with a new conference entitled "Screens and childhood" by doctors Pilar Suárez and Isabel Rubio. The increase in the use of screens in schools and homes by children and adolescents is a challenge for parents and educators, and the need to set limits on the use of mobile devices by children and adolescents arises, and this involves raising awareness among families and society in the first place.
The lecture by doctors Pilar Suárez and Isabel Rubio will be held on 20 April at 8 p.m. in the Saló Blau. It is planned to continue this series of talks in the coming months.
