Calp City Council plans to include new measures to support the local business sector in the municipal budgets for 2021 to mitigate the economic losses caused by the COVID 19 crisis. This was announced by the Mayor of the Municipality of Ana Sala, who stressed that the City Council "must continue to work and support the Calp business network, which is struggling so hard because of this pandemic, with measures to boost the sector.

The Mayor indicated that these measures would be included in a new plan called "Plan Impulsa" and that taxi drivers, hoteliers and shops would be the main beneficiaries. To this end, lines of assistance are being studied to subsidise the purchase of patio stoves, the purchase of software or support for innovation initiatives in shop windows

This aid would be in addition to other aid already approved this year and still applicable in 2021, such as the suspension of the tax on the occupation of public streets with terraces, and other new aid which will enter into force next year, such as the suspension of the tax on new activity licences. Taxi drivers and hotels will not be charged for reserving parking spaces.

In addition, in 2020 the City Council has already approved various aid lines under the Resiste plan, which were implemented this year, namely aid for local businesses, entrepreneurs with less than three years' experience and subsidising the fee for waste collection. It also includes the line of aid for nightlife, published today in the BOP, so that interested parties can apply from Monday 23 November to 14 December.
