For another summer, the tourism department of Calp Town Hall has published the so-called "Pre-franked Postcards", which the post office makes available to those who request them.
For this year's edition, the City Council for Tourism has selected a single image by photographer Francisco J. De Egea, which primarily shows part of the Banys de la Reina archaeological site. In the background, the Ifach Rock is reflected on the waters of the Roman fish farm at the site. On the front of the map the tourist slogan for this year has been added: "Take a look at Calp. All this is waiting for you".
On the back, the corresponding logos of the institutions appear, as well as the details of one of Calp's tourist offices, the symbols of what the visitor will find in the municipality, and the corresponding QR code that links the user to Calp's tourist website.
On the back of the card, the post office displays a box with the corresponding value, in the case of this card "B". The postcard can be sent to all European countries or to any other country in the world, as long as the necessary additional postage is added. This box offers a small difference from the box used in the 2019 edition.
The presentation of this new postcard took place in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, where both the Mayor, Ana Sala, and the Councillor for Tourism, Francisco Avargues, were able to stamp the postmark with the date to immortalize the moment. This means that there are already 5 "Prefranqueadas" that the Tourism Council of the City of Calp has circulated through the post, and for this year's edition 1000 copies have been requested.
The City Council for Tourism is seeking a very specific dissemination of Calp as a tourist destination, and to this end some of these cards will be sent to various embassies and consulates of European countries for distribution in their respective countries, and the Calp Philatelist Association will carry out philatelic dissemination as on previous occasions.
