Tomorrow the Consejo Municipal de Inteligencia Turística, Desarrollo Económico Local y Sostenibilidad (Municipal Council for Tourism Intelligence, Local Economic Development and Sustainability) will meet for the first time. The committee was founded a few months ago and represents the tourism industry of Calp. The meeting will be virtual.
Last September, a plenary session adopted the rules and regulations of this council, which is made up of technicians and representatives of the local political groups, as well as representatives of the various tourism sectors, from hotels and restaurants to commerce and complementary services, transport and citizens' associations and bodies.
This body will serve as a space for debates and proposals on the tourism and environmental development of the municipality. Tomorrow's meeting, together with the first presentation, will explain the lines of action and promotion of the Ministry of Tourism so far this year, and it is expected that the Strategic Plan 2020 will be discussed.
In addition to the presentation of the lines of this plan, special attention will be paid to the consequences of COVID19 and the measures that the Ministry of Tourism is developing in this respect.
