The Town Council of Calp, in collaboration with the Area of Architecture of the Diputación de Alicante and the MARQ, organizes tomorrow in the Cultural Centre a public information conference on the future Director Plan of the Banys de la Reina site, a document that will allow the valorization of this important Roman site.
In this conference will participate the archaeologists Ana Ronda and Alicia Luján, both have been directors of excavation campaigns in the Banys de la Reina, and will talk about the history of the site's investigation, its description and importance. The directors of Architecture and the Provincial Archaeological Museum, Rafael Pérez and Manuel Olcina, will stress the recovery of this cultural heritage, explaining the object, purpose and first notes of the Director Plan.
The purpose of this conference is to inform the public about the steps undertaken in order to highlight the importance and social value of this site, as well as explain the technical procedures to achieve its best conservation and value.
In the event will also take part the deputy of architecture, Jaume Lloret, and the mayor of Calp and president of the provincial council, César Sánchez. In addition, there will also be a round of questions among the attendees. The conference will be held tomorrow Thursday, the 26th April at 8 pm in the Cultural Centre.
