The Department of Sports has installed a circuit for the practice of calisthenics on the beach of Arenal-Bol, next to the Alemania Street. It is a series of certified fixed equipment that offers the opportunity to exercise and do outdoor gymnastics.
The calisthenics is a system of physical exercises with your own body weight; it is a sport with more followers everyday and is included in the so-called urban sports. The ultimate goal of calisthenics is to gain agility, physical strength and flexibility, and requires a series of bars and instruments.
With this circuit, with a cost of 21,737 Euros, the municipal department tries to expand the sporting offer in Calp and offer the amateurs of this sport a place for outdoor practice, as well as encourage and make new sports known.
The mayor of Calp, César Sánchez, present at the opening ceremony of the installation has declared that "we continue working so that young people can have spaces for sports and at the same time taking advantage of our natural resources".
