For the fourth consecutive year the Municipal Department for Social Policy of Calp, managed by Ana Perles, launched the Estiu Actiu program, designed to meet the needs of social inclusion for children and their families in the summer period for the year 2018, and aimed at all families with children under 16 years of age participating in any of the programs of the Municipal Social Services.
The "Estiu Actiu" Program aims to preserve the rights and promote the integral development of children at risk of exclusion, avoiding the separation of the family and normalizing their situation through a specific and integrative treatment that allows the acquisition of guidelines rehabilitated that compensate the situation of social risk that can directly or indirectly affect the well-being of children and minors. The program will take place during the months of July and August from Monday to Friday, with leisure activities and free time offered by the different local entities that organize summer activities. The selected children will participate in these activities and will be included in a lunch service.
This program subsidizes the participation in summer camps carried out by the different sports and cultural clubs of Calp and assumes the attention of feeding needs of these minors. At the same time, it contributes to facilitate work-life balance of families or, in some cases, it provides time that favours the search and working in formative and occupational activities.
Estiu Actiu, subsidized by the Conselleria de Igualad y Políticas Inclusivas, will award grants to 35 minors. The results of previous years are valued by the Department as very satisfactory, since the program manages to cover the needs of food and leisure for children through inclusive and non-segregating actions, avoiding situations that make children and their families visible or stigmatize.
The Actiu Estiu is aimed at children from 3 to 16 years old (both inclusive) in 2018, with administrative residence in the municipality of Calp and whose units of coexistence, at the moment of the evaluation of the need, do not exceed the monthly amount per capita of the IPREM or are included in any of the intervention programs of the Municipal Social Services. Minors in foster care in extended family, relatives or educators will be considered direct beneficiaries of these aids.
The families interested in participating in the program must submit an application in the Social Services Social Centre, located at Francisco Sendra Square, 8, or at the OAC, until the 27th of June 2018 (inclusive) with the required documentation.
