Everything is ready in Calp for one of the most expected events for the children in the town: the Three Wise Men parade. The Kings from the Orient and their retinue will leave tomorrow Friday from Colón Square at 5.30 pm in a parade that will go round the main streets of the town.
The parade is organized by the 2018 festivities commission, with the collaboration of the 2019 commission and a group of volunteers. This year there will be two innovations. On the one hand, the parade will have two parts, first a more child section with Disney animation and characters and then a second and more traditional part with shepherds, two ballets and animals. On the other hand, the Kings will go together in the same carriage, a tradition that stopped in 1983 with the aim of avoiding the break that occurs when the kings come down from the carriages in the Benissa street.
The parade will take place through the Gabriel Miró Avenue, Constitución Square, Ifach Avenue, Justicia Street, España Square, Mayor Street, Vicente Gallart and ends at the Virgen de las Nieves Church. After the worshiping of the Child Jesus they will go out to the square to distribute the presents among the children of Calp.
