Calp Town Hall will triple the presence of police patrols this Easter in order to ensure the safety of the Calp citizens and the people who will visit the municipality during these holidays.
Calp Police commanders and the Councillor for Public Safety, Guillermo Sendra, have held a working meeting to plan the security arrangements that will be deployed over the next few days.
In this way, there will be four or even five patrols around the municipality, especially those places with the largest number of people, such as the promenades and the streets of the old town, where the processions are held. Likewise, they will also reinforce the surveillance and fight against street vending, which tends to be concentrated on the promenades.
"We expect the best hotel occupancy forecasts for these dates, which speak of a large influx of visitors during Easter Week, and this requires a great effort on the part of the Local Police officers, for which I would like to expressly thank them for their involvement, commitment and professionalism," said Guillermo Sendra.
For his part, the Intendant of the Local Police, Juan Antonio Sanchez, stresses that "everything is prepared so that the Calpinos and visitors can enjoy this holiday without any problems or incidents".
