In recent years, influencers have become an important resource in marketing strategies in numerous industries. For this reason, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Tourism Course of the Universitat d'Alacant (UA), a conference has been organised to discuss the role of influencers in the tourism sector..
The conference will take place on 12 December at 19:30 at Casa Nova and is the first event organised in the municipality by the Calpe University branch, which has only been in existence for a few months. The conference will begin with the lecture "Influencer Marketing for Tourism Organisations: the key to understanding a global phenomenon" by Francisco Femenía Serra, researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Turísticas of the UA. His lecture will deal with the effectiveness of influencers and will explain the key factors for the development of marketing strategies in the field of tourism from an ethical and sustainable point of view.
His presentation will also focus on how to exploit this phenomenon, which is currently in vogue, without making the usual mistakes or prejudices of third parties.
This will be followed by a round table with the participation of Femenía, a journalist from the city of Calpe, Amalia López Acera, an expert on social networks and personal brands in public administrations, and Mario Schumacher, a social media marketing consultant.
