The San Silvestre Vila de Calp, the funniest race on the sports calendar of the town, will be held on the 28th December. Organized by the Municipal Department for Sports, in collaboration with iRun Calp, the event, in which runners participate dressed in the most diverse costumes, reaches its sixth edition and like last year will be held in the evening at 20.30h, through the streets of the old town.


The race will begin at the Constitución Square and will have a distance of 4 kilometres for those over 13 years old and 2 km for children under 13 years old. It will be as follows: Constitution Square, Portalet, Puerto Santa María, Del Norte Avenue, Conde de Altea, Llibertat and del Mar.


There will be trophies for the first three winners and for the first three local runners, as well as medals for all participants under the age of 13. All runners will be given a T-shirt. In addition, after the race there will be chocolate with churros.


Those interested in participating can register at until the 27th December. The registered participants will have to collect the dorsal the same day of the race at 19.30h in the Casal de les Associacions.


The Department for Sports encourages all participants to come in disguise and enjoy this recreational-sporting race that closes the year.
