Pablo Perales Muñoz, 18 years old, has become the new mayor of Calpe for 24 hours.
The Environment Council starts today three patrols of environmental surveillance that will develop their functions in three areas and with different functions with special emphasis on environmental education.
Calpe is about to celebrate the patron saint fiestas in honour of the Virgen de las Nieves, organised by the 2023 Fiestas Commission and Calpe Town Council.

Calpe Town Council has announced grants for the promotion of sport 2023-2024, for which it has earmarked 275,000 euros, 65,000 euros more than the previous call for applications and with a set of rules that aim to promote, among other aspects, sports associations.
The Town Council is launching an information and awareness campaign to prevent cigarette butts on the beaches, the aim being to reduce this type of waste because it is one of the most difficult to deal with and one of the most harmful to the environment.
The special appeal filed in June by the second classified company against the award of the contract for the urban waste collection and street cleaning service has been rejected.
