The Calpe Town Council initially approved in yesterday's plenary session the project of the Calpe Public Transport Service, a project that will substantially improve the urban bus transport and which is the result of the online survey conducted to find out the needs of citizens in relation to public transport in the municipality.
Calpe Town Council and Creama-Calpe are organising the VII Innovative Communication Meeting, which will feature two speakers: the general manager of the Más y Más supermarket chain, José Juan Fornés, and the businessman, consultant and trainer in multinational companies, Emilio Duró, who already spoke at the I Innovative Communication Meeting, held in 2017.<
The XI National Amateur Theatre Competition "Antonio Ferrer, the postman", organised by the Culture Council, will start on 5 November with the staging of the first of the selected plays. The three works selected from among the 64 submitted from all over Spain are already known.
Calpe will celebrate on Sunday the festivity of the 9th of October, Day of the Valencian Community, with the institutional act of awarding the "Jaume Pastor i Fluixà" prize and the medals of the town with which every year the work of people or entities that with their activity have contributed to the improvement of society is recognised.

The conductor and composer from Ontinyent, Saúl Gomez, will be the town crier for the Moors and Christians festivities to be held from the 20th to the 23rd of October.
Everything is ready for the Oktoberfest, the Beer Festival organised by the 2024 Festival Committee, currently Prefesters, which kicks off this Friday in the marquee set up in the Parc de la Creativitat. The first keg will be tapped at 8 p.m. on Friday 6 October to kick off the festival, which will last until 9 October.
The Seu Universitària de Calpe is planning to hold a round table discussion on the figure and work of the architect and composer Anna Bofill Levi, sister of the architect Ricardo Bofill.
