The campaign "Línies amb il-lusió" has managed to bring almost 300 letters to the people who live in the residences or are users of the Home Care Service (SAD) this Christmas and other programmes for the Elderly.
The Calpe Town Council has approved this morning with the only votes in favour of the government team (Somos Calpe, PSOE and Compromís) the Calpe municipal budgets for 2024. This agreement has been adopted after rejecting the allegations and ten amendments presented by the PP municipal group to these municipal accounts.
Calpe Town Council closes the year 2023 with a balance of the main water works executed, underway and planned, which amount to more than 3.5 million euros, a historic investment figure. This investment will make it possible to implement the best technology on the market in the entire drinking water system, and also in the sewerage network.
Calpe once again has a tourist train service following the recent award of the new contract. This week saw the start of this service, which will initially be provided with a diesel locomotive, although it is expected that the company awarded the contract will soon replace it with an electric train as the main vehicle.

This morning has been signed the agreement between Calp Town Hall and the Unió Musica Calp-Ifach to exchange 50,02m2 in the ground floor of the building called Casa de la Música owned by the Unió Musical for 70,03 m² in the first floor owned by the Town Hall. With this agreement, the initial contract dating back to 2007 is definitively settled.
The National Institute of Statistics has notified Calpe Town Council that the figure for the municipality, resulting from the revision of the municipal census as of 1st January 2023, is 25,854 inhabitants. This gives the municipality 1,758 new inhabitants since the last official figure.
The plenary session of the Calpe Town Council held yesterday unanimously approved to dedicate the year 2024 to the celebration of the centenary of the Calpe Fishermen's Guild.
