FiraCalp, the fair of gastronomy and business in the city of the rock, opens its doors tomorrow in the Plaza Mayor and does so with a greater number of exhibitors and tapas and with the participation of the Fishermen's Association and the 2018 Festivities members.
The fair celebrates its tenth edition and will offer 17 stands with restaurants, bars and cocktail bars and also reinforces its commercial section with the participation of 11 shops that will exhibit their products. The event is organized by the Town Council of Calp, the catering association Sabor a Calpe, the association of Businessmen of Calpe, with the collaboration of the Festivities Committee 2018 and the Fishermen's Association.
Catering services will offer a greater number of tapas, about four or five per stand, compared to the three of the previous editions, at popular prices, from 1 to 4 Euros. The Fishermen's Association will also present at the fair, in addition to the traditional Peix de Calp, new products such as sausage and octopus and drum burgers made with sea ingredients.
For the first time the 2018 Festivities Members have been invited to participate in Fira Calp, to sell drinks: beer, soft drinks and water; the benefits obtained will be set aside for the organization of this year's festivities; a range of wines will be also offered by the different stands.
With this entire offer, parallel activities will take place such as concerts, culinary demonstrations, children's entertainment or an exhibition of hybrid vehicles. In addition, a giant screen will be installed on Saturday the 26th May to show the Champions final match with Real Madrid – Liverpool.
"After 10 years of celebration, Fira Calp is a consolidated fair, a great showcase for the promotion of two of our great assets: catering services and business in Calp," said the mayor César Sánchez.
The fair, organized by the municipal departments for Commerce-Creama and Tourism, as well as by the catering association Sabor a Calpe and the business association of Calpe, will open on Thursday the 24th May at 7:00 p.m. This event brought together last year 12,000 people along four days.
